HISTORY:
China Nite Cafe opened in 1963. It featured a happy Buddha statue holding up a neon sign. The legend goes that the happy Buddha's rotund belly would be pierced by arrows from high schoolers' bows regularly on weekends. The restaurant closed in 2007 and the Buddha was removed in 2008. The building was demolished by 2012.
